Hang In There
A lot of things in life are hard to handle, and even harder to handle alone. That is why I am thankful I am not alone. Not just in the spiritual sense that God is with me (though He is in a strong way) but the people, physical tangible people that God saw fit to place in my life. I thank God for the constant help and support from God-sent people and all the support of my family. The little things are the great things!
Proverbs 23:17-18 – “Don’t for a minute envy careless rebels (sinners); soak yourself in the Fear-of-God, That’s where your future lies. Then you won’t be left with an armload of nothing. (MSG)”
Here’s the message: When things look bleak don’t envy people or their possessions, lifestyle, etc. who don’t exhibit a life of integrity in Christ. At the moment it may look like they are prospering and you (doing all that you can to live a life of integrity in Christ) are struggling in the rat race. This outward appearance is very true in the sense of your natural eyesight, but as verse 18 states, your future lies in the soaking of the Fear-of-God. Try finding yourself in worship with God alone and you might be amazed how you feel when you’re done.
When the battle is over and the air is clear again you will see both naturally and spiritually that lifestyle of integrity in Christ, paid off!
But as for now, during the struggle, you have to keep your focus on and faith in God. It’s hard. Living in a box of circumstances is harder though. So break out of your box of circumstances and situations and live above those circumstances and not under them! It’s possible when your thinking changes from self-centered to God-centered. Out goes fear and in comes boldness, hope, and joy.
BBCOG, peace.
